Nissan announces NCAA Sponsorship with 100 Universities
Nissan is not new to sponsoring huge sporting events or a NFL team like the Tennessee Titans and naming their former LP Stadium now Nissan Stadium since June 2015. The biggest deal yet actually was just announced a few hours ago, when Nissan signed next to their long-running sponsorship of the Heisman Trophy sponsorship another “huge one”.
The so called historic deal is that Nissan has become the official sponsor of 100 colleges and universities nationwide. And yes, Washington State University and the University of Washington are included in the deal. This sponsorship “…will allow Nissan to share amazing moments with students, alumni and fans – at every men’s and women’s sport…”, according to Jeremy Tucker, Vice President of Marketing Communications and Media for Nissan North America. He further mentioned “…Wherever fans go to follow these student-athletes, we’ll be there.”
There is an App for that – Nissan launches the DieHardFan App
Yes, there is indeed an App for that. In combination with this sponsorship Nissan further launches a #DieHard fan app which will be available for smartphones and tablets (iOS and selected Android devices). With this augmented realty app, fans will be able to follow a fan tradition of face painting their faces in the desired team colors, which then can be shared socially as well. I love it…and I will call this VJ APPROVED! You can go to diehardfan.com and check out more of the features this app is housing. I further have here this video included, giving you a quick snapshot how much fun can come with that. It also shows and features the all-new very soon arriving 2016 Nissan Titan, soon also here available at Tacoma Nissan in Tacoma, WA
