2016 Nissan Altima - What is new?
With its today press event in Detroit Nissan has reveled the new changes coming to the best-selling Nissan Altima.
For the Model Year 2016 this will be added or changed:
Exterior
- Slight front fascia design changes to accommodate the Nissan family face of the Murano and new 2016 Maxima
- new headlight, optional in LED as well as new taillights
- modified bumper, hood, fender and and trunk lid
- 9 colors (new is deep blue pearl)
Interior
- Cup holders are re-positioned
- no changes on the zero-gravity seats
Trim Levels
- 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV. 2.5 SL and 3.5 SR
- new will be the SR trim, integrated rear spoiler included
- comes with smoked lenses, fog lamps and finally with daytime running lights, which certainly improve the active safety
- with the sporty SR level the suspension gets an overhaul, which results in sporty suspension setup, rear stabilizers, stiffer front and dampers
- as an addition, new wheels and tires promising an aggressive stand and look
- Similar to the Nissan Juke Nismo I just had reviewed, the steering wheels will get pedal shifters as well
- As usual, 2 engine choices are available. The 2.5-liter with 182 horsepower and adding 88 more horsepower to the 3.5-liter-V6 engine will make it a an acceleration powerhouse due to a new developed shift logic for the CVT transmissions.
