2016 Nissan Titan takes home Truck of Texas Title

Nissan executives and Nissan dealerships around the U.S. and especially here in Tacoma, WA should be excited to see the sales starting for Nissan new pickup flagship - The 2016 Nissan Titan XD Cummins Turbo Diesel. As just announced the 310 horsepower and 555 lb.ft. of torque workhorse received stellar ratings in the annual Texas Auto Writers Association event, which took place at the Texas Truck Rodeo in San Anatonio last week.

Beginning December the Titan will go on sale in American dealerships. According to the TAWA, the Nissan XD Pro-4x was their off-road king during their judging round. With the V-8 equipped Titan (turbocharged cummins diesel), the Japanese car manufacturer took home "Best Powertrain Honors". What resonated most with the journalists and judges was "the new diesel engine and its capabilities, which span the light-duty and heavy-duty pickup classes", said Sue Mead.

Now let's hope that the dealerships will have a stream of new interested consumers coming in December to check the Nissan Titan out, and maybe trading in their current Ford F-150 or Toyota Tacoma pickups.
